★conversation n.谈话 subject of conversation:话题 talk.可以正式,也可以私人的 conversation. 比较正式一些 let‘s have a talk They are having a conversation conversation 用的时候比talk正式,意思上往 往不非常正式. talk: 可正式可不正式 dialogue:对话 China and Korea are having a dialogue. 正式 chat: 闲聊 gossip:嚼舌头 have a + talk/chat/dialogue/conversation/gossip 名词变动词

★theatre n.剧场,戏剧 cinema: 电影院

★seat n.座位 have a good seat (place) take a seat : 坐下来,就座 take your seat/take a seat Is the seat taken? 这个座位有人吗? no/yes sit Sit down ,please seat Take your seat, please Be seated, please 更为礼貌 seat是及物动词,后面有宾语 sit是不及物动词,后面不加宾语 seat后面会加人,表示让某人就座 seat him He is sitting there. You seat him.

★play n.戏 ★loudly adv. 大声的

★angry adj. 生气的 cross=angry I was angry. He was cross. annoyed: 恼火的; I was annoyed. I was angry/cross. I was very angry. be blue in the face I am blue in the face.
★angrily adv. 生气地。副词修饰动词

★attention n. 注意 Attention ,please. 请注意 pay attention :注意 pay attention to : 对什么注意 You must pay attention to that girl. pay a little attention :稍加注意 pay much attention :多加注意 pay more attention :更多注意 pay no attention :不用注意

★bear (bore, borne) v. 容忍 bear, stand I can‘t bear/stand you endure :忍受,容忍 put up with :忍受 I got divorced. I could not put up with him bear/stand/endure忍受的极限在加大 put up with=bear=stand
Bear n.熊 white bear bear hug :热情(热烈)的拥抱 give sb a bear hug

★Business n. 事 Business man :生意人 do Business: 做生意 go to some place on Business: 因公出差 I went to Tianjin on Business. thing可以指事情,也可以指东西 It's my business 私人事情 It's none of your business. ★rudely adv. 无礼地,粗鲁地 rude adj.

Last week I went to the theatre.
? go to the +地点 表示去某地干嘛 go to the doctor‘s 去看病 go to the dairy 去牛奶店 go to the + 人 + ’s 表示去这个 人开的店 go to the butcher‘s 买肉 go to school: 去上学 go to church: 去做礼拜 go to hospital(医院):去看病 go to the Great Wall go home:回家

I had a very good seat =I was sitting in a good place; maybe I was sitting in the front of the theatre.

The play was very interesting .
Interesting adj.令人感兴趣的 eg. The play was interesting. eg. The boy was interesting. Interested adj.感到感兴趣的 eg. I was interested in the play. eg. I am not interested in your affairs.

I did not enjoy it.
enjoy + doing eg. I enjoy fishing. eg. I enjoy swimming. eg. I enjoy making friends. eg. I really enjoy talking to you. eg. I really enjoy staying with you.

A young man and a young woman were sitting behind me.
Were sitting 过去进行时
现在进行时 强调目前或现阶段正在做某事。 过去进行时 描述的是过去某时正在做某事。 通常用过去进行时描述背景,然后用 一般过去式引出故事的情节。

They were talking loudly. I got very angry.

区别 eg. I was angry. eg. I got angry.

I could not hear the actors.
actor 演员

actress 女演员 waiter ------ waitress tiger ------ tigress actors ? actors’ words 用具体代替抽象,‘借喻’

I turn round = I turned around。

I turn round.

turn v。 1)转变方向 turn right turn left turn to sb for help 2)翻转 turn to page 12 3)翻身 turn over eg. I couldn’t fall asleep; I just turned over and over and over. 4)变得(多指颜色的变化) eg. Leaves turn yellow in the fall. eg. His face turned red with anger.

glare 怒视 eg. I glared at the man and the woman.

They did not pay any attention.
= they paid no attention.

In the end, I could not bear it.
In the end 最后 as a result ; at last ; eventually ; finally in the end ; as a result 强调结果 at last ; eventually 强调经历艰难过程之 后最终。。。 eg. We have arrived at last. finally 强调次序

I turned round again. ‘I can’t hear a word!’ I said angrily.
Word have a word with sb 跟某人说一句话 have words with sb 跟某人吵架

‘It’s none of your business,’ the young man said rudely. ‘ This is a private conversation.’
none n. 没有 none of eg. None of us knew him.
