建议 一、机械记忆—突出词汇达标控制问题 ---系统性、强化性,高速度

H.E.Palmer : The study of a language is in essence a series of acts of memorizing; whether we are concerned with isolated words, with wordgroups, with meanings or with the phenomena of grammar, the fact remains that successful memorizing is the basis of all process. 学习一种语言,从本质上说,是一系列的记忆活 动,不管我们所涉及的是孤立的单词,词组、词 义还是语法现象,事实总是这样:记忆是一切成 功的基础

二、必须借助完形、阅读、书面表达,培养 学生在语言理解、表达中词汇运用能力

(一)词义猜测 Step 1 Look at the unknown word and decide its part of speech. Is it a noun, a verb, an adjective, or an adverb? Step 2 Look at the clause or sentence containing the unknown word. If the unknown word is a noun, what adjectives describe it? What verb is it near? That is, what does this noun do and what is done to it? If the unknown word is a verb, what nouns does it go with it? It is modified by an adverb? If it is an adjective, what noun does it go with? If it is an adverb ,what verb is it modifying?

Step 3 Look at the relationship between the clause or sentence containing the unknown the word and other sentences or paragraphs. Sometimes this relationship will be signaled by a conjunction like “but”, “because”, “if” ,“when” , or by an adverb like “however” or “as a result’. Often there will be no signal. The possible types of relationship include cause and effect, contrast, inclusion, time, exemplification, and summary. Punctuation may also server as a clue. Reference words like “this”, “that”, and “such” also provide useful information. ---Clarke

Pearson faced a battle over the future of the Sparrow brand. The chain’s owner now favored rebranding Sparrow as Marcy’s restaurants.
