As ^teenager, I like to read good books, a which ^benefited me a lot. One book in particular has been inspired me in my life. It’s has/have 或 inspiring Robinson Crusoe, that is about a man who had^ lost at sea and was left lonely on a which was 或 been alone deserted island. During his stay there, he managed to overcome many kind of kinds difficulties coming his way. Finally, after 27 years on the island, he made a boat from of the tree on the island and went back home. I like the novel because the hero never lost his heart and his fighting spirit remained, for which I always look down to him as a shining example. up 第二节：短文写作（共 1 题；满分 25 分） 参考范文： I am Li Hua, a senior two student. About this heated discussion, I will definitely help people in need. There is no denying that helping people is a fundamental element of social morality and a symbol of civilized society. If no one helps them, it may increase their risk of serious injury, even losing their lives. What’s more, it is better to put ourselves in others’ shoes, especially in this case. Everyone will become old. It is a sad situation if such a case occurs to us one day when we are old and no one helps us.
So I sincerely hope that such tragedy should never occur again. Firstly, helping the elderly in need should be advocated. Besides, more efforts should be done to guarantee the benefits of people who offer help. Only in this way are people willing to lend a helping hand.
听力录音稿 Text 1 M: I just got this car and one of the door handles has fallen off. W: Well, my car can’t get started from time to time. It’s really annoying. M: You may go to the Brother Louis’s. They offer good service. W: OK. Thank you. Text 2 M: Do you feel like jogging with me this afternoon? W: I’d love to, but I have to go to my cousin’s house. She got the flu and I have to look after her son. M: Oh, I’m sorry to hear that your cousin is ill. But the little boy is really cute. It must be fun to be with him. W: You never know what babies are like. Text 3 M: Has the flight from Sydney arrived yet? W: No, sir. It was held up in Singapore. M: Really? I thought it was a direct flight. W: No, it stops in Bangkok and Hong Kong as well. Text 4 W: I’m thinking of dropping my economics class. It’s really too difficult for me. M: I know how you feel, but I’d keep on with it for another couple of weeks. I did it. The worst part is over anyway. I’m sure you can do it as I did. Text 5 M: Can you tell me what the luggage limit is? W: As a rule, it’s 20 kilos. Your luggage is 25 kilos. I’m afraid you have to pay an extra luggage charge. M: What do you charge for being overweight per kilo? W: 15 dollars. Text 6 M: Jenny, how about a drink after work? A restaurant has just opened in front of the station. We can have some down-home cooking. My treat. W: Thank you for inviting me, but today I have to practice driving. The Driving Competition is drawing near. It takes place next month. M: OK. That reminds me. I have to play golf with some guests from the US. By the way, aren’t you interested in playing a golf course? W: Are you kidding? The playing fee is so high that I’d need a second job. Text 7 M: Have you been to the Met Museum of Art in New York? W: No, I haven’t. But I have been to the Smithsonian Institution. It has the first airplane ever flown by the Wright Brothers, as well as the first submarine used in the American Civil War. They even have the first light bulb that Edison made by hand. M: The Met has an exhibition on right now about the development of paper. Some of the paper they have on display is over 4,000 years old. It’s been so popular that they have already had to hold it over for a second run. W: 4000-year-old paper? I can’t believe it. It’s really worth going. Text 8
M: Have you finished the balance sheets (财务状况表) yet? W: I’ve been working on them since 10:00 this morning. I should be done by this evening. M: No need to rush. I don’t need them until tomorrow morning. W: Janet told me we’re looking for a new accountant. Is that true? M: Yes. We’ve been looking, but no luck yet. W: I know someone who’d be perfect. She’s my classmate. She’s been working for Smith CPA and Co. since 2006. M: Great. Ask her to come in for an interview. W: OK. She’s not too happy in her current position. I’m sure she’ll be interested in interviewing for the job. M: Oh, I almost forgot to ask… have you opened the new accounts at Wells Fargo? W: Yes, I have. Here are the account numbers and paperwork. M: Thanks. Text 9 M: Now, where am I staying in Barcelona? W: I’ve booked you out(办理离开旅馆的手续) in the Sky Palace, just at the airport terminal. M: Sky Palace? Wasn’t it possible to get me into Barcelona Hotel as usual? W: Well, Barcelona Hotel would have involved much more travelling for you. The company you are visiting is located near the airport. M: Oh, I see. Yes, fine. Have you got the hotel phone number? W: Yes. I’ve got it for you from the travel agency. And the next stop, you’ve been booked into the Larval Hotel in Brussels. M: The Larval? I’ve already stayed there twice and found it rather disappointing. Is it possible to change the hotel? W: Of course, I will do my best. Oh, the last stop, London. M: OK, when everything is settled, I will ask my wife to meet me at the Heathrow Airport. Is there anything else? W: If possible, I will ask them to send the tickets up before we close today. That’s all in order now. Text 10 W: Thank you for coming. I’m going to give you the details of our camping trip next week from Thursday to Sunday. The coach will be outside the school on Monday morning at 7:30 and we will set off at 7:45 and we advise you to arrive ten minutes earlier. There will be room on the coach for one bag each so please don’t bring more than one bag. You’d better bring a jacket with you for fear that it may be a little cold in the morning and evening. We may also have a dance over the open fire at night, but it doesn’t mean you need to dress formally. Just wear some comfortable clothes. You don’t need to bring tents or food as that’s all provided for us, but you will need to bring a sleeping bag. If we are lucky, the sun will shine and we will be able to use the outdoor pool on the site so don’t forget your swimming things. And don’t forget to bring your sun cream in case you get sunburnt. On Friday afternoon, before you leave college, please look at the notice board in the entrance hall as there may be some changes to the arrangement which I need to tell you about. If you have any questions, please meet me in the office after class.
