Course code: 09236 Title: Mathematical Modeling Credit rating: 3.0 Time: Semester Two Prerequisites: Mathematics,Linear algebra,computer programme language School responsible: College of Mathematics and Computational Science Assessment: 2 hours end of semester examination; Weighting within unit 80% Brief description: 本课程主要介绍用数学知识解决实际问题的手段——建立数学模型。通过教学,使学生掌握 数学模型的基本知识;培养学生认识问题,用数学模型和计算机分析解决实际问题的初步 能力;增强学生学习数学的兴趣和自学的能力,了解数学的一些应用分支的理论,会建立 相应的简单模型,并能对模型进行分析。 This course mainly introduces the methods of the mathematic knowledge to solve practical problems, by establishing mathematical model. Through teaching , let the students master the basic knowledge of the mathematical model,cultivate the students preliminary ability that how to confront with problem and use mathematical model and computer to analysis and solve practical problems. In addition,it will enhance students' interest in learning mathematics and the ability of self-study. What's more,it will intrigue students to learn some applications of the theory of branch, be able to set up a corresponding simple model, and have capacity to analyze the model. Syllabus 1. 建立数学模型 Build up the mathematical modeling 数学建模的背景,基本方法和步骤,数学模型的特点和分类 The background ,basic methods and steps of mathematical modeling,the characteristics and classification of the mathematical model. 2. 初等模型 Elementary model 光盘的数据容量,双层玻璃窗的功效,划艇比赛的成绩,污水均流池的设计,交通流与道路 通行能力,核军备竞赛,天气预报的评价 CD data capacity, the effect of double glazing, Rowing match results, the design of the sewage flow pool, traffic flow and road traffic capacity, nuclear arms race, the evaluation of weather forecast 3. 简单的优化模型 Simple optimization model 存贮模型,生猪的出售时机,消费者的选择,生产者的决策,血管分支 Storage model, the selling time of live pigs, consumers' choice, decision-making of producers, vascular branch. 4. 数学规划模型 Mathematical programming model 奶制品的生产与销售, 自来水输送与货机装运, 汽车生产与原油采购, 饮料厂的生产与检修, 钢管和易拉罐下料

电磁场的基本规律,研究静态场解题方法。电磁波部分主要是介绍有关电磁波在各种介质 中的传播规律及天线的基本理论。

This course makes students master the theorem and the physical meaning of the Maxwell equations and mathematical expressions. It includes the electromagnetic field and electromagnetic wave.Part one is the electromagnetic field .It makes students to learn using the method of vector analysis on the basis of electromagnetism course to describe the essential physical concept of electrostatic field and constant magnetic field, and giving the basic law of electromagnetic field based on summarizing the basic law of experiment, and studying the method to solve problems in the static field. Electromagnetic wave part mainly introduces about the propagation rules of electromagnetic waves in a variety of media and the basic theory of antenna.

Syllabus

1. 矢量分析 Vector analysis 矢量代数,三种常用的正交坐标系,标量场的梯度,矢量场的通量与散度,矢量场的环流 与旋度,无旋场与无散场,拉普拉斯运算与格林定理 Vector algebra, three kinds of commonly used orthogonal coordinate system, the gradient of a scalar field, vector field flux and the divergence of the vector field of circulation and curl, irrotational field and solenoidal field, Laplace operation with green's theorem.

2. 电磁场的基本规律 The basic rule of electromagnetic field 电荷守恒定律,真空中静电场的基本规律,真空中恒定磁场的基本规律,媒质的电磁特性, 电磁感应定律和位移电流,麦克斯韦方程组,电磁场的边界条件 Charge conservation law, the basic rule of electrostatic field in vacuum, the basic law of constant magnetic field in vacuum, electromagnetic properties of medium, the law of electromagnetic induction and the displacement current, Maxwell's equations, boundary conditions of electromagnetic field.

静电场分析,导电媒质中的恒定电场分析,恒定磁场分析,静态场的边值问题及解的唯一 性定理,镜像法,分离变量法,有限差分法 Electrostatic field analysis, a conductive medium constant electric field analysis, constant magnetic field analysis, the boundary value problem of a static field and uniqueness theorem of solution, image method, separation variable method, finite difference method.
