Step 1: Warming up and lead in 1. Greetings. 2. (1) ----do you like watch the news? ----Yes, I do. ---- Why do you like watching the news? ----Because I hope to find out what’s going on around the world. (2) ---- What does your father think of the watch? ---- He doesn’t mind it. 3. T shows some pictures on the screen. Let Ss complete the sentences. Then check on pairs. A: What do you want/hope to watch tonight? B: I want/hope to watch talk show/ soap opera/ sports show / game show/ news / talent show / comedy / action movie/ cartoon/ scray movie. Step 2: Presentation 1. Read the words in 1a, and write down the meaning. educational, serious, wonderful, relaxing, meaningless, enjoyable, exciting, boring. 2. Understand the usage of the words. 位于联系动词后,作表语;位于名词前,作定语。 3. Make sentences using the words. 4. Finish 1a. What do you think of these TV shows and movies? Choose words from the box and write them under the pictures. Each picture can have more than one word. 5. Work on pairs. Let some pairs ask and answer in front of the class. Step 3: Listening Work on 1b: 1. Tell Ss to listen and circle the description words you hear in the box in 1a. 2. Play the recording for the Ss. Ss just listen for the first time. Play the recording again. and circle the words. 3. Play the recording and check the answers with the Ss.

听力指导: 要抓别人对他 们两个人的看法所说的 词汇, 也就是那些表示看 法的形容词。 因此在听的 时候, 应重点放在对剧目 进行评价的形容词上。
