教师资格证全英文说课教案Unit 2 Book3


Teaching plan for Unit 2 Book3 ------------Zhao Min Good afternoon, everyone, It’s my great pleasure to be here sharing my lesson with you. I. Teaching Material Analysis This is the second module in Book 3, and the topic is “Developing and Developed Countries”. In this part, our main task is the text "The Human development Report". My purpose is to help the students learn about the development situation of the world, and make them realize the great challenges we still have. Based on the information in the text, I hope students can understand their duty to our country and the world, and make them love those people who need help. II. Teaching Objectives 1. Language Objectives New words: hunger, income, poverty, reduce, measure, goal. 2. Ability Objectives: To help students develop reading skills (skimming for the main idea of the text and scanning for specific information, summarizing information and making inferences.) 3. Moral Objectives Students will understand that as humans they should love others and help others so that the world will be filled with love. III. Important Points and Difficult Points. To use skimming, scanning and careful reading to get proper understanding of the passage. IV. Learning Methods It’s important to teach students “How to learn” not “What to learn”. So, teachers must help students build up their own way to study. We cannot be restricted by some factors, but should try to motivate students and make the class become more active and funny. It is also important for the students to communicate with their classmates actively, share their opinions with each other and discuss how to solve problems. Based on all these, in this class, I will encourage students to use the following learning methods: (1) To infer from the title and to make a summary from the details. (2) To discuss with classmates, express themselves freely. V. Teaching Methods 1. Teaching methods

(1) To ask and answer questions. (2) Group work. (3) Learner-centered teaching style 2. Teaching Aids: pictures; colored chalks; multimedia VI. Teaching Procedures Step I Lead-in (5mins.) First I will greet my students. Through greeting teachers can get closer to the students, and relax the students, and also it’s a good way to call student’s attention. Then I will ask a question and make them finish an easy task to lead them to our topic for this class. Step II Fast Reading (6mins.) In this part, first I will ask students to have a quick look to mark out and write down some information that they think is important, and then I will ask them to speak out their opinions about the main ideas of the text. This is to train their skimming skill and summarizing skill. Step III Careful Reading (26mins) This is the core of this period. With careful reading, students should get to know exactly what important information the passage conveys. Meanwhile, they learn to make a summary of the passage from the details. So in this step, I will lead students to read the text one paragraph by one paragraph. Through various questions, I hope they can catch the key points and understand the text better. By filling the table, the students can see clearly the main ideas of each paragraph and learn something about how the writer moves on in his writing. At last, the students are asked to answer the questions before the passage. This is to check their understanding of the passage and encourage further reading if they fail to catch some points or if they have interest in some a topic. Through careful reading, students are also supposed to develop an awareness of global development and show proper concern for the problems of the Third World. Step IV Discussion (6mins) In this part, I will give students 5 minutes to discuss with their classmates about what they think are the most serious problems of the developing countries and how to settle these challenges. After that, some students are asked to share with the class their ideas. In this way, students can practice their speaking and listening. Meanwhile, they can also develop an awareness of developing our world with other countries. This is to cultivate their interest in the global advancement. Step V Summary and Homework (2mins)

In this part, I will tell them that to help and love the people in the world is the real purpose of the class today. And then I will ask them to finish the exercises on page 13 after they go home and listen to the tape of the text (one time). This step is for consolidation of what has been learnt in class. VI. Blackboard Design Blackboard design is very important for teaching. Some difficult points and important points will be written on the blackboard to achieve visual effect. My blackboard design is quite simple and clear. On one side, it will be the screen of the multimedia. On the other side, I just write the key points, I think it’s useful for students to have a clear understanding of the text.
